Creating a Paper About History
The number one type of question that students encounter in class is about history. Students' first impressions of history come from a teacher who asks a question about their history topic, an event that was covered in a lecture, or a historical figure whose life and times are the focus of the class. When you address a question about your history topic, think about how you want the discussion to go. Do you want the class to focus on one event or the events of a person?
Students should be engaged in the discussion, as they will be happy to know that there is more to the event than meets the eye. Using your paper's topic as your lead question will help students get to know the subject in depth and help them find the answers that they need.
